Today the mayor Gulia de Santis, of the famous city Montefiascone, held a very important event in cooperation with the Lions Club. They presented the key to the city and they gave honors to Dr. Hawass. After the ceremony, Dr. Hawass gave a speech talking about the search for the tomb of Imhotep, the search for the mummies of Nefertiti and Ankhesenamun, the discovery of the Golden City and the restoration of the tomb of Ramesses II. After that, the mayor Gulia chose about forty intellectuals from the city and held a very nice dinner in Dr. Hawass’ honor. Gulia is the youngest mayor in Italy at 34 years old and she is a very popular mayor.
