Dr Zahi tours the US in October to promote Egypt

Dr. Zahi Hawass will be back in the US in the second half of October as part of a tour organised and sponsored by the Egyptian Tourism Authority in the US to promote Egypt as a tourist destination. Dr Zahi will visit many cities across the US to hold a series of private lectures, aimed mostly at key members of the tourist sector who sell Egypt as a destination.

The trip will begin on October 13th with an exclusive lecture at the Metropolitan Museum for UN staff and Ambassadors to the UN.

Dr Zahi will then be in Southern California, where he will celebrate Archaeology Weekend by giving an exclusive presentation at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana on October 18th at 2:00pm. His discussion will include the latest findings in Egypt, and whether or not Queen Nefertiti is hidden behind the wall in King Tut’s Tomb. He will also bring the audience up to date on many other Egyptian Archaeological events since the Revolution of 2011.

He will then be in Houston, where he will hold also a public lecture at the Houston Museum of Natural Science on October 20th at 6:30pm, titled The Mystery of the Pyramids: Recent Discoveries“.

The tour will then continue until the end of the month in Dallas, Chicago, New York, and Washington DC.
