Cerimonial chariot-carter120 – Detail of the ceremonial chariot, from the Funerary Equipment of Tutankhamun – New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty – From Western Thebes, Valley of the Kings, Tomb 62 – (carter 120), Cairo, Egyptian Museum – Interior gilded detail from King Tutankhamun’s chariot which was discovered in the southern end of the antechamber with another chariot and funerary equipments. The detail shows a group of Nubian and Asiatic captives, the scene has been gilded on thin golden foils which were then placed on the wooden frame of the chariot.
