Painting from the Tomb of Nakht, Astronomer of Amun – Reign of Tuthmosis IV, New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty – Theban Tomb 52, Western Thebes, Sheik Abd el-Qurna – Nakht was a writer who held the title ‘Astronomer of Amun’. His tomb comprises the entrance hall leading to the transverse hall, and then to the inner hall, which ended with a niche. Most of the scenes represent daily life, such as picking and squeezing grapes, and the wine industry. There are also scenes of hunting, but the most famous scenes in the tomb are the boards of music and dance depicted here.
