Ostracon from Western Thebes, New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty – Cairo, Egyptian Museum – The ancient Egyptians used every available device to express their beliefs and desires including decorated Ostracons, such as this limestone shard, which depicts a lion killing a Nubian man. The lion here represented the King in the famous scene of killing the enemies.
