Painting from the Tomb of Userhet, called Neferhabef, First prophet of the Royal Ka of Tuthmosis I – Reign of Seti I, New Kingdom, 19th Dynasty – Theban Tomb 51, Western Thebes, Sheik Abd el-Qurna – All the religious scenes and colours found in the tombs were carefully prescribed and defined. Since the Old Kingdom, the ancient artists also painted on the tomb walls wonderful natural scenes of plants, birds and animals, to complement and complete the ‘house of eternity’.
