Dr. Zahi Hawass was appointed the head of the committee that will review the restoration process of the Step Pyramid of Saqqara. The Step Pyramid is the first built stone structure in history, as well as being the first pyramid ever built. The crucial restoration process of this monument will be supervised by the specialized committee, under the direction of Dr. Zahi Hawass.
