Dr Zahi Hawass will be lecturing in Turin, Italy, on 28 May 2015 on the occasion of “Tributo all’Egitto”, an all-day event organised by the cultural association Seshat International and sponsored by the Egyptian Tourism Authority in Rome in collaboration with other associations, companies, and institutions, including the Egyptian Embassy in Italy.
The day will begin at 10:00 AM at Palazzo Carignano with a press conference, attended by experts and Egyptian authorities, including the Minister of Antiquities Dr El-Damaty, which will be followed by Dr Zahi Hawass’ lecture and book signing at 10:15 AM. The lecture is free and open to the public, with seats assigned on a first-come, first-served basis until they last.
The day will then proceed with a number of activities, including a workshop on tourism and culture in Egypt, as well as open air activities in Turin’s main squares. Finally, at 9:00 PM a concert by Orchestra G.B. Polledro and Coro Maghini at the Conservatorio G. Verdi will close the event. Tickets for the concert will be sold at the entrance at the price of €15.
