Zahi Hawass lectures on 23 June at the Abusir and Saqqara 2015 Conference in Prague

Dr Zahi Hawass will attend and give a lecture at the Abusir and Saqqara in the Year 2015 Conference at the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. The Conference will take place between 22nd–26th June 2015 and Dr Zahi will hold his lecture “Pyramids, Mummies, and Cleopatra: Recent Discoveries” on Tuesday 23rd June.

The Abusir and Saqqara Conference is organised by the Czech Institute of Egyptology. It aims to cover all main fields of Egyptology connected to relevant aspects of the history, archaeology, environmental features, philology, art history, religion and other related subjects concerning the pyramid fields and cemeteries of Abusir and Saqqara and their adjacent areas. Since 2000, the conference is organized every five years. Due to the highest professional standards, renowned scholarly expertise and friendly atmosphere, the Abusir and Saqqara Conference has acquired a worldwide reputation as a major event in Egyptology and Egyptian archaeology, and attracts the most eminent scholars from all around the world.
